Fulcrum is built as a web-based platform (cloud computing) to enable users to quickly design, build, deploy and use micro-apps for iOS and Android devices in the field to collect data. Data can immediately be synced back to the cloud server for instantaneous mapping and analysis capabilities.
Drag + Drop Builder
With Fulcrum’s drag + drop builder users can be in the field collecting data within minutes. With a wide array of form element options, the drag + drop builder allows users to create the exact data collection app they need. Users can create single and multi choice lists, classification fields, text fields, and even photo fields. In addition, field elements can be create with conditional formatting, to help reduce the potential chance of error as well as ensuring fields that must be filled out are filled out. With Fulcrum, users can create an app that is as simple or as complex as their needs require.
Custom Maps
With Fulcrum users can upload their own custom maps that are relevant to their data collection needs. Fulcrum supports the use of maps that have the mbtiles file extension. This allows users to create custom map layers and then upload them to their map library. Once uploaded to map library they can then be download to a iOS or Android device.
Offline Data Capture
With offline data capture, data collectors can capture and store the data collected on the custom app right on their mobile device. Then, once the collector’s device is back in cellular data service or has connected to a wireless network the data can be synced with the cloud server. No matter how remote the area is you can still collect and create records with confidence.
Additional Features
Fulcrum also supports allows users to export their data from fulcrum in a variety of formats, such as CSV, SHP, GeoJSON and KML. Users can also import any of their data by using a CSV file format. In addition to the importing and exporting Fulcrum has a developer API. Allowing users to push and pull data to and from their fulcrum account. As well as being able to build there forms though the API.
